Everyone says “don’t brag”, but bragging works insanely well to display value and spike attraction when it’s well timed and executed.
The problem is: 99% of men brag at the wrong time, in the wrong way.
This guide shows you the exact sequence that makes bragging attractive rather than cringe.
Intro: Common Mistakes
Women confirm this constantly.
I always ask questions to expand my expertise, and two of the top complaints women have about men on dates are:
Talking too much doesn’t work because you cannot bond when she doesn’t open up to you.
And bonding is an important element to make her feel understood, safe, and close to you. It’s an important part of seduction.

Why Early Bragging Doesn’t Work
Bragging too much doesn’t work for two reasons:
- There is no evidence yet: Anyone can talk. Without evidence, words mean little.
- It confirms a lower value frame: Bragging early says: “You’re the chooser. I’m here to impress you.”
In power dynamics terms, it’s the dance monkey dance frame.
The Value Sequence Model
The Value Sequence Model is based on initial nonverbal displays of value with progressively increasing use of verbal value displays, going from indirect first, to very direct later
In general, value sequencing is the optimal display of value balanced and calibrated to context, target, and power.
So here is how to display value with advanced calibration:
Phase 1: Set the Foundations with Nonverbals (0% to 50%)
Show up:
- Well dressed
- Nice watch
- Good posture
- Good perfume
- Warm, confident smile
- Light, calibrated hug
- Lead her toward the venue
So far: zero verbal bragging, it’s all body language and nonverbals.

Phase 2: Display Value Verbally, But Strategically (50% to 90%)
If she is talkative, let her talk the most.
If not, keep it balanced with a 70/30 split: ask, ask follow up questions, and relate back.
This is where indirect verbal bragging begins.
And it’s crucial: you never brag directly at this stage, but you brag strategically.
Don’t say
- ❌“I make good money” <— Actually, this can work if said with confidence, but it’s a provider approach, not a lover. It can set a disempowering dynamic for you of women wanting monetary value
- ❌ “I’ve been everywhere” <— So you want a medal now? The cooler guys travel because exploring is in their nature, being all over is a consequence of their adventurous trait, not a goal
- ❌ “My ex was a model”. <— It suggests you’re head-hunting for looks narcissist-style. Also, top men only date attractive women, so for them, beauty is normal
The early pick up artists used to carry pictures to show themselves as being ‘cool’ or social. It’s the right idea, but it was uncalibrated (it feels forced, and pictures in a club is low power geeky).
Technique #1: Ask Questions That Let You Show Value Naturally
If you’ve traveled a lot, ask about her dream destinations.
Then relate:
“Paris? Yeah, it’s beautiful but dirty.”
“Japan? Amazing. Super clean, super safe. People don’t speak much English, but they’re very polite.”
You’re not saying you’ve traveled — you’re demonstrating you have.
Result?
She will think, by herself, that you’ve been everywhere.
Technique #2: Look Good by Comparison
If you met on an app, ask about her experience.
The question is strategic, because most attractive women get matches, but haven’t had a good experience (and a few may say they haven’t had to sound pickier).
Example:

It’s so easy to stand out today. Literally all I did in this case was being normal, light joking and vibing
That allows you to display value by contrasting your superior behavior first, and then your experience.
Once she asks you back, this is your first reply:
You: It’s OK. I prefer meeting in person anyway <— 📣 Sub-communication: I can meet women in person as well
Then dig deeper about her experience. If she’s not forthcoming, ask about the worst encounters or chat.
This primes her expectations lower, so you can even more easily come across as impressive.
Then she will likely ask back, and you say that ‘I think men have a better experience’. That piques her curiosity, and whe she asks back, you explain that most guys are average, with lots of idiots in-between.
That sub-communicates that you’re not one of them, and that she’s lucky to be with a cool guy.

Remember: Nonverbal Value Continues
Remember that even as you display value verbally, your nonverbals also continue to do the talking for you.
Including:
- Comfortable with silence
- Lead the ordering
- Move smoothly with confident nonverbals
- End the meal
These all stack up to display value.

Phase 3: The ‘Positive Arrogance’ Boost (90% to 100%)
If you did things right, she now sees you as a high-value man.
Now direct bragging can work.
And can even boost attraction.
It’s the 0.9 → 1 principle:
Once you’re close to “10/10 impressions”, a confident direct brag gives the final push.
Not needed, but powerful.
I rarely do it unless she invites it…
The ‘Good Arrogant Power Move’: Brag When She Invites the Brag

If you’ve really done well, women sometimes ask questions that are designed to let you brag.
It’s a test + confirmation ritual.
At that point, you don’t just have permission to brag — you must brag.
If you dodge it with fake humility, it looks suspicious.
She was already thinking well of you — she simply wants confirmation.
Here are some examples:
Her: “Why do you live in the center?”
You: “Because I’m fucking rich.”
Her: “Why do you get these big muscle?”
You: “Because I’m a fucking G.”
The right mindset and attitude to answer these, which you can also use verbatim, is this:
“Because I’m a fucking winner.”
The key is that you must say it like you believe it in your core.
This is why mental self-empowerment is so foundational.
This is a display of sheer, unmitigated confidence that, albeit arguably arrogant, is calibrated to the time and very attractive.
Think of it this way: she’s just about to fall for you, and that display of power is the final, figurative push.
⚠️ Careful With These….
Some brags display value but don’t facilitate seduction.
Questions like:
“Why are you single?”
“Why aren’t you married?”
“Why did you come talking to me?”
Often mean: “Why hasn’t someone snapped you up?” and “Why did I get so lucky?”
They allow you to brag, but they’re all dangerously pointing to the fear of dealing with a player.
🙋♂️Lucio’s Take: Why I Rarely Go For ‘Arrogant Power Move’ (Though It Always Works When Calibrated)

Lucio:
Once she sees you as a cool, high-value guy, you can escalate to the next stage of true intimacy.
Initiating escalation is a display of value and masculine leadership in itself.
And it’s the best step you can take.
But whenever I did use direct brags, they never failed. I only got confirming nods, coy smiles, or even ‘that’s true’.
Phase 4: Long-Term Acceleration (100% to 110%)
After intimacy, she has already chosen you.
That means that she’s seen your value, and decided it’s good for her.
However, that doesn’t mean it cannot further grow. As a matter of fact, high-quality men grow over time in their attractiveness.
And sprinkling high-confidence brags reminds her of her good choice, while displaying your inner mental confidence.
Better yet, they thread-expand on your value. It goes like this:
- You brag
- She is reminded of your confidence
- She confirms your value the moment she accepts your brag (is he right? Yes. Confirmed)
This is the ‘remind value, display confidence, confirm value’.
In frame analysis bragging during the relationship works as thread-expansion.
And at this point, a touch of arrogance is attractive, like a spike of interest and attraction.
A touch of arrogance also works because the relationship dynamics have changed.
Past the ‘assessment phase’, a good relationship enters a stronger win-win phase where interests align more than in dating.
That means that if you do relationships with a good win-win frame, your value is also her value. And your brags are more welcome and more believable when the relationship is set as win-win (Farrell and Rabin, 1996).
🙋🏼♂️ Lucio’s note: this is why I ‘brag freely’ at home.
Interests with your parents are highly aligned. They’d rather have a confident son who reminds them of his achievements than an overly humble one. But remember that the key is to brag about something true or proven. My brags often start with ‘that’s why I (did X/achieved Y)’.
Time It Right
Timing is crucial.
You don’t brag to ‘win a fight’, ‘out of the blue’, or just because you said something smart.
You brag when you did something great, and you notice that she values it.
For example, if you said something helpful and intelligent and she seems pensive, you do this:
You: (share something truly insightful or helpful)
Her: (reflective) <— This is your cue that what you said hit a nerve
You: Makes sense, right? <— Confirms your read, thread-expands, and leads her to first confirm the value
Her: (nods)
You: Of course, aren’t you lucky to have met such a super smart guy
The Principle: 90 → 100 → 110
Forget rigid ‘laws‘, there are no laws in advanced power dynamics.
It’s all principles that must be calibrated. So here’s the principles of bragging:
Show first.
Confirm later.
Then add ‘positive arrogance’ dashes when the moment is right.
