Day Game Cold Approach: Getting to power positive at the very beginning
As depicted in the Straight Line Seduction in SU you start the day game cold approach Power Negative. You can, of course, minimize this by several tweaks to the approach (indirect, low effort if possible), but still - at the beginning you want her more than she wants you most of the times. Especially because you invest heavily in the beginning by carrying the conversation.
This is really nerve racking in my approaches. Even as some girls really play along despite this, a lot of girls just give one word answers, don’t invest or don’t react to a bait. And some are just looking into their phones. And as you start with "being normal" at the start, power doesn't really build up in these situations. By the investment of carrying the conversation I get even more power negative. In my experience, this is more the case with hotter girls and especially with the "shiny objects".
So how do you gain Power especially at the beginning of the conversation to push over the line of power positive? Leading (making her invest) or qualification doesn’t really work at the beginning, because you have to have at least some power to make her do it. Same with Flirting (Push-Pulls, Disqualification etc.). It feels a little bit „off“ to me at the very beginning because she doesn’t care what you think of her, if she doesn’t see you as high value. Same thing with talking about myself.
I am new to TPM here and wonder, if Power University is the course I need to understand those dynamics.Â

Yeah, Power university does definetely explain how those dynamics work. In my case I did the same as you, acquired first SU without having a deep understanding about power dynamics, and to be honest I didn't knew how to naturally apply most of the things I was reading, left aside understand how and why certain things work the way they do. Now I would say that things are quite different.
The thing is that without the foundation that PU provides (specially if you aren't very power aware) its very likely that you won't be able to apply/understand certain strategies/concepts/techniques that appear in SU correctly.

Apologies for not answering your main question. I haven't tried many cold approaches yet, so I rather not give advice about stuff I don't think I have enough knowledge of.
Yeah, agree that generally power dynamics and PU are the foundations.
Of course, chances are that one may already intuitively know and understand them, and knows how to maneuver to change those dynamics.
But if not, and I think the majority doesn't, then PU first may help (I went ahead right after reading this thread and now SU is can only be puchased after PU has been marked as complete. May change again later on if many reach us out saying they don't need PU, but we'll see about that).
As for the techniques to change the initial dynamics, frankly, they're all pretty much listed.
So IF this happens (which I don't know, if it happens sometimes, it may be totally normal and fine) this may be more of a foundational thing:
- Your value, and it will improve once you grow your confidence, skills, dress style, etc.
- Her value, as you may be targeting women who are at the top range, or even the "shiny ones" who almost HAVE to reject you just to maintain their air of unattainability

There are many things that can make one nervous before approaching.
But not that you're lower power in the beginning.
That's just how things are, and as long as you have a healthy self-esteem and confidence, within you, you believe that as long as you keep interacting, you'll change those dynamics and she'll gladly find out how cool you are.

Will try to just take this as a given next time and be chill about it. And as I said, many girls play along well in the conversation despite the initial power difference, probably the better ones.

Hi Lucio,
this seems to now prevent all users who have not marked all lessons in PU as "complete" to access SU. Many lessons in PU I have not yet marked "complete" because of the last update and being in the process of going through it again, so I ask you if you can reenable access for at least those who had it already.
