Cover design feedback (DPD): which one is better?

The current design:

The alternatives:

Clipart Woman

Everyday Dating

Sensual allusion

P.S.: thanks to Ali!
Ali provided these covers some time ago and now finally I found the time to go for it. Thanks man!

My favourite is #4 but it does look a bit feminine... apart from that, the current one is my pick

I think the 4th one, Sensual Allusion looks the most polished.
Though it looks a bit more like a novel than a non-fiction book.

The current design is good because the words in white highlight that it is a guide quite clearly.

I'm guessing the primary factor is which cover would lead to more sales.

What do you think about running a Facebook Ad campaign to test which cover gets better responses?
A USD 20 campaign could be good enough.

Edit: If all 4 covers, I think USD 10/cover would work.
It's possible to go down to USD 5 per ad too.

I like that idea of running a small-scale ad campaign, Matthew. And, I'm also leaning more toward the Sensual Allusion design as well.

On Mitch's note, a way to make that last design (#4) seem less feminine would be to change the font of the title's word "dynamics" to the same font as any of the designs preceding it.

Using that thicker, more emboldened font could also help it come across as less like a novel and more like a practical guide.

That makes sense.

Do you happen to have the .PSD of that, Ali?

A look at what I mean:

Notes:

  • Put a black banner for the word "dynamics" to rest on. The banner can give the feeling that this is more of a guide. (Especially, since it covers a part of the image of the girl which was contributing to the design feeling like more of a novel.)
  • Used a thinner version of the font used in the "Clipart Woman" and "Everyday Dating" designs. (Using the exact font here would've been too thick and incongruent with the surrounding fonts.)
  • Minor color adjustments, etc.

The only other change I'd probably make (based on feedback) is the subtitle "in war and love everything is unfair". I left it because it still works the way it is, but it also causes the new font for "dynamics" to stand alone.

Yet, that could be me overthinking it with my creative side.

BOOM, thank you Ali!

I think the all-black also fits the new header/footer color, and goes better along with Ultimate Power as well.

Many thanks again, I'll use this one as soon as I'll be re-updating DPD.
