Date sends text after date has been arranged but before date has happened
Quote from Oli on January 14, 2021, 1:49 amHey Lucio and Forum - I got a date!
(and it's arranged after using the principles of Text to Date)
Now- here's the new part for me. For the first time in ages my date has sent me a quick text-after the date has been arranged but before date has happened.
It goes like this: One more night to go!! Haha I'm so excited for friday hehe
I am too, however I want the response (or non response) to factor in:
- My frame is a mix of lover/provider leaning more towards lover side
- It's our first date - I don't want to appear over excited
- I have work to do today so I can't let my response turn into a massive conversation
So how should I go about this? What options are best :)

I'd reply something like:
Looking forward to it, too :)
That's higher power.
Or:
Ehehe right, looking forward to it, too :)
And that's more about warmth/rapport.
Notice of course that's what "high power" is contextual.
So while even that first text would give away too much power in more normal texting, in this case, since she's already given a lot, it's Ok to also give back some more -as a matter of fact, you probably have to give some, or she might feel spurned and self-reject-.

Quote from selffriend on March 22, 2021, 11:01 amOff topic: I personally find that lover traits and provider traits often contradict.
In early dates, every time I pay for food, the attraction is doomed and follow-up never comes. Every time I have her pay, she then actively arrange the next date. If it is a split bill, then the balance of power remains.
