Did JP and conservative values failed Mikhaila Peterson

(please go to 43min25s. It seems I can’t link the exact moment when sharing from my phone sorry for that)
Mikhaila: when I was 24 I had an unplanned pregnancy. And I shoud have probably not stayed with that person.
but at the time thought that it would be best to have a stable family. You should try hard to make it work even if you don’t know the person that well.
I was surprised to learn that her daughter was from an unplanned pregnancy.
It seems she got pregnant from a guy she wasn’t really serious with. She decided to keep the baby and marry the guy. A few years later they were divorced because she said that everybody was miserable.
JP is a strong advocate of pro life with tweets like this: the number one cause of children death in the United States is abortion, by far !!
He is also a strong advocate of marriage and staying together no matter what. He doesn’t hold divorce in high regards.
I believe the teachings from her father and conservative values strongly influenced her arguably “bad” decisions.

Quote from Lucio Buffalmano on November 23, 2023, 3:50 pmYeah, 100% agree.
And we enter much more into the personal opinions here, but this thread made me think that the "law of balance" may apply to political values as well.
If you're too much of a liberal, you may be too naive/virtue-signaling/oblivious to your own dark side/oblivious to human nature (communism works poorly in many ways because it goes against a good chunk of human nature).
And too conservative, well. This is one good example of that.
In this case, I think it's less personal opinion that this mindset/value can cost you.
It would be quite difficult to make a dispassionate case that timing for when and choice of with whom to have children cannot benefit you.P.S.:
Moved this to the "values" sub-forum and asked Kavalier and Ali if I wasn't being too nitpicking with this :)
