Does Power University contain vulgarities?
This was a customer's comment requesting a refund:
I purchased this course at the recommendation of a friend. However, after beginning this course I can see that it does not align with my religious and cultural values. For example, I am very sensitive to vulgar language and I am unable to continue reading and watching the content.

So, does PU contain "vulgarities"?
That also depends on the definition of "vulgarity" but, by most definitions of it, I'd say it's a resounding yes.

Thank you for your email and explanation.
And if that's your wish, we'll proceed.
Only allow us a few lines to explain our values and reasoning.
Same as for any rude or insulting behavior, we align with the same values of rejecting gratuitous vulgarity.
And we even consider gratuitous cussing unneeded at best, often off-putting, and sometimes even aggressive.
The Power Moves stands for fairness, win-win, and general respect and consideration of others.
However, there are some vulgarities in Power University and The Power Moves for the simple reason that those are also part of life.
Same goes for aggressive, rude, win-lose, manipulative, and generally distasteful and "a$$*le behavior".
We'd never cut out anything that's part of life -or we would be doing a terrible job for ourselves, our mission, and our customers-.
It's not an endorsement, nor a condoning of that behavior -and maybe we can do better in highlighting that, thank you for flagging it, we took note of it-.
However, we believe that knowing antisocial behavior and how to deal with it is the best way to eradicate it from our lives, from ourselves, and from our communities.
We also believe that it's a good thing if good and morally upstanding people expose themselves to these realities and learn how to better confront them.
To uproot snakes and devils we must know snakes and devils.
In a way, we see it as our duty as good people.
It's because it may be unpleasant, but the more people take up this unpleasant job, the better the world.
That's our stance on it.
But we don't want to lecture anyone with it.
And albeit we certainly would prefer to keep you on board, xxx, we respect whatever you choose.
If you wish to proceed with the refund, just say "go ahead" and we will proceed and be thankful for the chance you've given us.

The reply is standard TPM's stance.
However, note that there are many rhetorical devices and techniques to adapt it and tailor it to the receiver.
Feel free to list them if you want to go deeper.
As one more note, in public and social situations and from a power dynamics, status and general life effectiveness, you often want to avoid saying that "you cannot watch or proceed with something because of the vulgarity".Â
Even if something may be vulgar, that frame makes you come across as too prissy-like.
