Drama queens are thieves. They steal your most limited resources
I am going through a wonderful book, and this quote exemplified why drama queens make for poor partners:
Drama is expensive.
It consumes time and energy that could be used for better things, like conquering the world or just relaxing with a beer.
Dramatic people are thieves (..) they force others to redirect their efforts away from their goals and their happiness.
Personally, I feel the same way towards anything that takes my time with anything that's unnecessary.
Like the author says, it doesn't necessary mean that you were going to use that time to do who knows what.
But even taking time away from just sitting on your ass and catching your breath, it's still stolen time.
When you start thinking of your time as the most important resource you need to protect -and cherish-, then you know you are acquiring a mentality that is about maximizing your time, becoming more efficient, or simply enjoy life better -hopefully, a healthy mixture of all the three of them-.
Drama queens don't feel that way, obviously.
Drama queens get their validation from you wasting their time on them.
Says again the author:
A mature partner, on the other hand, brings solutions rather than problems. Life with her brings a sense of peace.
