Frame control: thoughts and questions
Quote from John Freeman on August 18, 2023, 7:39 amHello TPM Community,
Here is a thread to share thoughts and questions about frame control. Sometimes we have a quick question or thought that does not deserve a new thread in itself. If the administrators think this belong in an already existing thread I’m happy to have it moved. I did not find a corresponding thread in my search.
Frame ignoring
Reading PU improved version I now understand the power of frame ignoring. It subcommunicates: “what you say has little or no value”.
Very powerful.
One can see that it can be used as an attack or as a defense.Used a as a defense it’s beautiful and I can see how it’s an all-season default defense.
When someone one-ups us ignoring the frame is a low investment automatic one-up back.
One does not expand any additional energy and the subcommunication re-balances the power dynamics.
Before I was a bit confused as I thought it was about ignoring the person. I was not sure how to execute it. In the new PU version it’s more clear and I can now see what it is being referred to.
