Has Anyone Taken the HPV Vaccine? - Gardasil

HPV stands for human papillomavirus.
It's a sexually transmitted infection.

There are a few types of HPV vaccinations.
The best being Gardasil 9 which protects against most HPV types.

HPV VaccinationsProtect Against HPV Types
1Cervarix*16, 18
2Gardasil 4 / HPV 46, 11, 16, 18
3Gardasil 9 / HPV 96, 11, 16, 18, 31, 33, 45, 52, 58

Gardasil is given in three injections over six months.

It's more important for women because it protects against cervical cancer.
For men, it prevents certain kinds of HPV infections like warts.

From most websites, it is advised to be taken age 26 & below and before one begins sexual activity.
But, according to Wikipedia, in 2018, the FDA approved expanded use of Gardasil 9 for individuals aged 27 through 45 years old.
So I believe it's not too late for older people too.

Yeah, I've met a few people who've done it.

I haven't researched it well enough, but I would consider it, for sure.

So I just shot an email to one clinic to see if they have it available.
If they say "yes", then I'd look more deeply into it.

Though if you have the chance to get it there, then worth looking into it more deeply.
