Hello fellow movers of power!
Quote from Jmusic on October 7, 2021, 5:27 pmHey everyone, I just realized there is a very vast forum space here and saw the section about introducing yourself so I figured I would do just that :)
My name is James and I play the violin and produce music for a living. I grew up homeschooled so this site has been massively helpful in teaching me more about social dynamics in general as well as the more advanced power moves stuff. Huge thanks to Lucio for putting all this together!
I'm actually moving to Tampa FL in a January and figured I'd put out a feeler here since I won't know anybody in that city. If you live in or around Tampa and would like a unique and fun human to hang out with, I would very much like to connect!

Quote from Lucio Buffalmano on October 7, 2021, 8:18 pmAwesome, good to see you here James!
Yeah, from what I hear homeschooling is gaining quite some traction.
Lots of smart folks seem to think it's the best way to avoid some of the schools' drawbacks. And they may have a point.
The one potential drawback is that schools' biggest benefit may lie not in the curriculum, but in the socialization -including the first embryonic stages of learning to operate among peers, including competition, acquiring status, strategizing for mates, but also make friends and develop alliances-.
Luckily as you say, it's very possible to make up for that -and then go much further from all those folks who believe it's not something they should learn :)-.Tampa sounds awesome, good place to be from January onward :).

Thanks Lucio!
