How to control the frame when you talk about a topic you're not educated

How can you still control the frame when talking with someone about a topic you're not well educated OR at least less educated then the other person.

My solution to this would just change the topic by saying: "I haven't had the time to think about that topic yet. Lets talk another time about it."

Important thoughts I noted:

Even if you don't agree his frames. By still listening to the other person most of the time, you subconsciously fall into his frame.
I think thats because you getting lead by the other person.

What are the best ways to control the frame in such situations?
Is there any way to stay in a conversation where you're less educated and still control the frame?

Hey meinmove,

I actually like your proposed approach, minus the "let's talk about it another time", which either breaks rapport, or is insincere since you probably aren't going home and research the topic just to talk about it with them.

Remaining noncommittal without agreeing or disagreeing.
Too many folks -me included, sometimes- fall into the trap of disagreeing with something you don't really care much about, or don't know much about, just because you want to share an opinion, or because you think you should have an opinion.

Being effective at life also means choosing a few topics you care about and work on, and letting the rest "fade in the background", so to speak.

It's the people who jump on every single topic who often have actually little value to add.

That's possible if you let them rant on for ever, but bring some examples / case study to be more precise.
