How to effectely approach others with WIIFM in mind
Quote from Guest on April 22, 2020, 1:08 pmGood Afternoon Lucio,I hope you are safe and in good health during this pandemic?
I appreciate you must be busy and that you get a lot of these emails, so down to brass tacks; I am a freelance Consultant in UK (in politics no less!), and am familiar with power-dynamics, social exchange theory, Robert Greene etc. Still, I came across your blog recently and found it clear, well-written, extremely insightful and it immediately added a lot of value. It is one of the better blogs I have read on the topic, and I imagine and hope that your business must be doing very well.
I was wondering if you might kindly clear-up one aspect of WIIFM for me; When interacting with someone (remotely or in person) how do you effectively and efficiently find out what the other person really wants, so you can offer them a reward they would actually be interested in? I imagine good due diligence is a solid first step, but building on that what do you believe to be the next most important step?
Thanks for taking the time to read my correspondence, and I look forward to keeping up with your good work.
All the best,
C
