How to get him to initiate
Theres a guy I like and he is really receptive to me. Initially he was chasing but then we stopped talking for a while and I reached out. We spoke 2 days ago last and he offered to pay for my ticket to come and see him (no sex involved due to our religious beliefs and I am not staying with him).
He is a genuinely busy guy and what would be desctibed as alpha but he is also really sweet and gentleman and kind.  How do I get him to initiate contact with me? I know he likes me but I don’t  want to loose all of my power by always initiating.
How about you just take him up on the offer?
Take the ticket, go to see him, bring a gift.
People are fare more willing and likely to initiate and talk with people who are close to them.
Seeing him in person is the best thing you can do to grow closer.
Purely from a power dynamic perspective, you want him to slightly convince you to take that ticket.
You can do it with very simple question:
Him: I'll get you a ticket
You: Yeah?
Or:
Him: I'll get you a ticket
You: Yeah? And what do you have in mind to do?
When he explains, he invests.
That way, it doesn't seem like you're just enjoying his largesse, but the frame becomes more one of him convincing you to take it.
