How to Handle Being a Young Man Trapped in the 1%?
Quote from Deleted user on October 24, 2022, 9:19 pmThis website does a great job of showing how the 1% live socially but I am a very strange entrant to that club that has no clue how to fit in.
I was born to immigrant middle class parents in America and had my social and financial life all planned out for me since day 1… until I realized I was a math genius and hit 7 figs in net worth by age 19 and 8 figs by age 21 by selling AI businesses while being a student at one of Harvard/MIT (I finished college so I do have a degree). I am now 25 and chased day and night by even richer folks to be their AI Lead Engineer - $700k+/yr salary fully remote with free housing/food - or to run full businesses that can have massive 7-9 fig payouts. In the past two days alone I have visited a three story penthouses in NYC and a 10k sq ft villa in LA.
My fashion sense, social skills, and general knowledge were totally fine for the middle class but I find myself having to upgrade massively just to fit in now and the other 1%ers do notice if I don’t. Is there any advice anyone here would recommend? I suppose ‘when in Rome’ is a good start but I do miss the days of being middle class.
