How would you have handled this trap?

I came across a snippet of a debate from a news channel. It had a interesting trap put forth by the guy which the feminist fell right into.

The comment section seemed to agree that the feminist played herself and whatever the debate topic might have been this trap seemed to have been the nail in the coffin.

The dialogue is as follows

Guy - Sticks and stones make break my bones. There will always be some things that will offend a feminist.

Feminist - That is just Obnoxious. You will have to give me chance to respond to that. That is ridiculous. I won't do your show again if you won't let me respond. (All the while looking visibly annoyed).

Possible replies that would have empowered her

Feminist - Oh are we now? (With a what the F.. face)

Feminist - You don't even come close. It's hard to take you seriously when you say stuff like.

Feminist - I expected better from you.

What are your thoughts on how you would have handled the situation?

I would answer with a combination of shaming the reporter, going meta and leveraging the statement to further my position:

Feminist: I think this joke requires no comment. A statement like this does not contribute anything to the discussion, and is in fact nothing other than a covert, but very insecure, "macho" statement. This is precisely the reason why feminist views are still current.

Agreed, she shouldn't have allowed herself to be baited so easily... the guy is clearly not a very sophisticated debater, and his gag isn't even funny or witty... she could have just ignored him and addressed the journalist, pointing out that having clearly unintelligent individuals come on to make childish gags doesn't reflect well on the program, is tedious for guests who want to have a serious dialogue, and shows a lack of respect for the audience...

Plus the shaming on the journalist which is like double shaming on him, nice!
