Including Images Hosted on Other Websites Vs Including Your Own Pictures
It seems that it is easy to include images already hosted on other websites using the picture functionality.
Then it is easy to adjust the proportions using the dimension feature.
For example, for the pictures in this forum thread
Inforgraphics: sharing, previews, & feedback
it is easy to include them in posts.
Just copy & paste the link.
Including Your Own Pictures Like Screenshots
When I would like to include my own screenshots though, I usually put them on Google Drive or Google Photos.
However, these Google Drive hosted pictures do not appear well in forum posts using the picture functionality.
So I just put a link to them instead. For example,

But this requires more work for the forum readers to go through the post.
Much better to have the pictures in-field to read with the text.
This was what I wanted to achieve in this post but couldn't find a way to

Maybe this is a limitation on the forum, and we just need to find workarounds.

Another simple way to add images:
- Right click on the image
- Select "copy image address"
- Click on the image icon in the message bar
- Past the link in that box ("source" field)

I wasn't sure how to describe the actions relating to that.
That's what I did to make your learning diagram really small.
This doesn't work for images on Google Drive and Google Photos though.
I experimented but couldn't figure out a way.
Embedding Videos

Quoting a video via the link allows you to embed a video (at least for YouTube videos):
Exactly the same link as above but outside the quotes.
The videos appears inline.
I'm not sure man.

Ok it works.
OK, maybe I got it.
When I edited your message, John, the youtube link looked hyperlinked.
Such as, the link was first copy-pasted, and then hyperlinked again.
Instead, you can simply copy-paste the link as it is, without hyperlinks.
And to link to a specific time, you can right-click on the specific time of a video, select "copy video at current time", and then paste that link onto the message.
In your message, you only see the link, you don't see the video.
But after you click submit, the video will embed.
