Lucio's experience in eastern europe

Hello Lucio,

I'm taking the liberty to create a thread to know about your experience with women in eastern europe. I know you moved to Berlin now, so I'm also curious about your experience with german women. I'm sure that we will meet in person one day, so either in a real-life conversation if it's too personal or on the forum.

Would you like to say a few words about it or not?

Oh man, those would be some fun discussions over a few drinks, for sure :D.

If I had to throw ONE quick, important trait that I have never seen anyone mentioning when it comes to women and dating is this:

  • RISK APPETITE

Women and cultures differ a lot in terms of risk appetite (or risk aversion, as you wanna call it).

Risk appetite has the biggest impact on cold-approach VS social circle.

In highly risk-averse cultures, cold approaches and online dating work poorly because women are generally loath and wary of meeting men they don't know. Even when they like them.
Foreigners also must adapt because they are seen as "different" and "different" often means "risky".

Women in risk-averse countries date less, give fewer men a chance, and tend to prefer men they know and trust, and men whom they consider "safe".

In risk-tolerant countries, women go for it.

And Eastern European women tend to be risk-tolerant.

I remember I was once walking an empty street, at night, and there was a girl I wanted to say hi to, but before I could reach her, she turned towards her door: she had arrived home.

"Shit!", I thought, there is no way I can approach her now and not scare her off (night, empty street, approaching from behind, random guy... all the bells should signal "danger").

But I tried anyway, thinking "what the hell, she'll say no and that's it".
So I just yelled "hey, excuse" to get her attention and then added, "I thought you were cute, and wanted to say hi". 5 seconds later I told later to get a drink together, and she just said "OK", and walked with me.

To me, that represented how different EA was.
That's not something that would happen too often in Western Europe -or in most other places, for that matter-.

Very interesting. Switzerland as a country is risk-adverse. I think your statement is quite true. I think there's also a connection with the sex market. In some places it is in favor of women and in some other it is in favour of men. Where I live it's heavily in favour of women (even though they want even more privileges and advantages).

Yes, definitely sharing our experiences over a few drinks!

Yeah, absolutely, risk appetite also depends on the general availability of men, the general and average male quality, and the general tendency to stick with women, or to bang and disappear.

When women command more dating power, they tend to be more risk-averse, and the opposite is also true.
All these factors influence each other.

Still, it makes sense to consider it in isolation as well, since it provides insights on what dating and approach strategies can better work in certain environments.
