Manager who is not my boss trying to task me

Thanks everyone. There s a lot to love here. We ended up with some strong answers to a common situation and power move.

Bel s idea of treating it's as a FYI is great (and amusing).

John shortened which is always good and added some power protecting which I did wonder about. And indirectly surfacing other priorities - nice work.

And Lucio's ideas on dealing with the email will go into my list of SOPs. More gold.
