What's the Mhc complex, I thought of "mother hen syndrome", but it's not a very popular concept.

Some guys I had a debate with said Hormonal, feromonal and blood compability are much stronger than hypergamy and that example, the unconcious formation of the sexual object in the latency phase, as Freud said (never found that reference)is way stronger than hypergamy so Im kinda confused.Some guys told me genetic compatibility is the reason why beautiful girls date ugly guys.I’m so confused so I need an expert’s opinion. First of all, let me snatch the soapbox off my own feet: I'm not an expert on this topic.
With that being said, based on the fact I've never read anything conclusive or any evidence showing it is a determinant factor, no, I don't think it's overshadows personal value and any of the major traits that people prefer in a mate.
