Quick announcement to share that @Kavalier is joining the moderator team.

As you know, there isn't much need for mod intervention here :).

But sometimes it happens, and I believe it's good to have one more person to cross-check opinions, analyses, and discuss possible interventions.

Having one more person will also make the admins' decision stronger and fairer:

• One extra high-quality point of view: Kavalier has shown to be a power-aware, high-quality man, so his opinions will help reach even better decisions
• 2 extra non-involved third parties: In case Ali or I are involved in some potentially mod-requiring intervention then we'd only have one non-involved third party to triangulate with. With Kavalier, it will be 2
• Prevent subconscious biases/public perceptions of bias: Ali and I have worked together on a book, so we may have subconscious biases in case one of us involved, or in case one of us happens to personally favor one person over another, for whatever reason. Even if we'd manage to largely cast that aside -and knowing human nature I'm not willing to bet too big on that, at least for myself :)-, the public perception may be so. One more person on board will help alleviate that

And then, of course, there is the equally important "representativeness" of what an ideal admin stands for.

I believe Kavalier is a great representative of TPM values, and shown over a long stretch of time.

So...

Some days ago I asked Kavalier if he'd like to join the admin team, and I'm glad he says "yes".
