Potentially good programs I'm staying away from based on their marketing

There's always a risk of missing out on something good when you judge a book by its cover.

But, in my experience, marketing that reflects that the instructor might have a poor-quality character has typically resulted in poor-quality courses when I got inside.

So, here are some programs that might be good that, at least for now, I'm still avoiding anyway:

  • Occam's Razor: a program that markets itself as the simplest and easiest cold approach system (maybe leveraging some straight-line seduction principles?) from an instructor that says he's slept with over 1,500 women.
  • The Sex Leads Machine: another program by the same instructor.
  • Tour De Force: doesn't seem like a bad course, but gives me the impression that it (1) might not offer anything truly groundbreaking and (2) is coming from an instructor who might be a little too into self-development (i.e. he seems to lack balance/moderation in his intensity).
  • Conversation Mentoring: pushes the idea that he teaches conversation "mastery", but I noticed a couple of mistakes in his social skills that lead me to believe he's only teaching the basics and foundations.

A great reflection, and both statements are true:

So, schematically:

  • Highly manipulative marketing reflects poorly on the instructor, that in turn increases the odds of a poor product
  • You avoid the product, but may also miss out on one of the "exceptions to the rule"

Not much to add for now, just that both are true.
