Question: should we have a separate "work" section?

Right now "work" is under "strategies".

But it was always a makeshift arrangement.

I'm thinking now that it deserves its own spot.

Any idea where?
The "power dynamics" forum is already crowded.

I'm not a fan of long lists and prefer simplicity, but maybe it deserves its own forum?

Yes to Work Tab: One Big Tab for Each University (or Product Type)

In my opinion, we should create a spot called Work/Business/Career.
One big tab for each University.

  • Power Dynamics for Frame Control and Power University
  • Social Life for Social Intuition/Mastery
  • Dating for Seduction University
  • Work/Business/Career for Business University
  • Self Development for Ultimate Power

Merge Lifestyle/Wealth/Business with Self-Development

Only 21 posts (1 page + 1 additional post) fall under the broad category of Lifestyle/Wealth/Business excluding its subcategories.

Taking a look at the posts under Lifestyle/Wealth/Business, they overlap with Self-Development in my opinion.

So we can transfer all these posts under Lifestyle/Wealth/Business to Self-Development.

Moving Subtabs under Lifestyle/Wealth/Business

We could move the subtabs under Lifestyle/Wealth/Business as such

  • Entrepreneurship, Travel, Random to Self-Development
  • Announcements to Mentor Box on the left of Products Q&A

Possible Renaming to Self-Development & Lifestyle

We could rename Self-Development to Self-Development & Lifestyle.

Alternative Approach: Hashtags

One approach is hashtags as it tackles this challenge though unsure if it's feasible with the WordPress forum plugin.

Hashtags also create a knowledge graph effect, and one can see how often #leadership (under Power Dynamics) overlaps with #work (under Strategies).

Hashtags have a self-organising characteristic where people gravitate towards certain hashtags for particular topics.

#content #forum
#work #organisation

Booooom!

I'm loving this idea Matthew, thank you so much!

Going to take a break from the laptop, think it over, and then might act on it this very day

Already taken steps in that direction (maybe 80/20).

To properly finish the last 20 I might have to hire a developer for bulk-moving.

Some ideas I'm playing with:

  • Move all topics from "learning" into the main category of "Researches, Studies, Theories" and delete the category as it feels redunant
  • Rename "learning" maybe into "reviews" and/or "products / courses / books recommendations"
  • Remove strategies
  • Edit strategies and make it one single container without the "Machiavellian" and "proven" subcategories

But it's already such a huge step forward.

Thank you again Matthew, that was genius out of the box thinking.

Are you using bbPress by any chance?
I heard of this plugin before:

I don't have much experience in WordPress forum plugins.
In case it's relevant.
