Reverse sales technique

Just coming off a 15 mins initial call.

I'm sure the guy had a script to go through.

His question:

Him: I'm curious, when you read our initial email (<---- good script, but it's still a fake conversational approach)
What made you think we're a good match for you

My answer:

Me: Well, I don't know that, that's why I jumped on the call 🙂

LOL, he was trying to have me sell his service to myself :).

Another of his question;

Him: I'm not trying to sell you anything on this call (<---- good for what comes next, but generally not the best thing to say)
, but if we're the perfect match, would you be potentially ready to go ahead?

I think the people who write these scripts don't realize how "salesy" they sound
