Social Attacks and Retaining Your Previous Social Value. Is it possible?
Quote from JackGD on May 11, 2021, 12:25 amI am sorry these are rather basic questions I have been asking on here. This is my last post on this topic. I am not giving a example this time because the question is broader than that. The question is simply this. Can a person Retain there value after a social attack?
The social attack takes the form of rude condescending statements or even covert aggression. Now I know there are techniques to handle these situations. But what I am asking is this. Is it possible to stop your social value from dropping. When someone is saying a very defamatory statement towards you in the company of others.
In my experience it is very easy for someone with a low social standing to make my social value drop immediately with a rather condescending and rude statement (Even friends can turn on you in a social circle situation in favor of someone else in the group. But I am not just talking about social groups. Anywhere anytime). this has been a real sticking point of mine.
Is it possible to keep your social value after a social attack on you?
Thank you very much.

Quote from Lucio Buffalmano on May 11, 2021, 4:52 amOf course you can.
It's true that when you're higher status you got more to lose.
That's true for almost anything in which you lave a lot.
Rich people stand to lose more from a lawsuit, or a bad marriage, and attractive and high quality women stand to lose more with an uncool boyfriend. But just handle it great, turn it around, and you can actually gain points.
When people see you handle things well it's the living and breathing proof that you're skilled and that it's better to have you on the good side.
It's the same as social showdowns.
Win a few, and people respect you more.
