Larry defends a bit too much and maybe over-laughs at Eddies' disempowering jokes.
Especially the last one, after he said "apologies accepted". That was an unneeded passive-aggressive power move because you either accept the apologies and then you move on, or you say it's too early and then your anger is justified.
To that joke, Larry could have avoided laughing and said something like:
Wait a second, I thought you said we were good
