The new "fame strategy": What Mr Beast, Alex Hormozi, Facebook & Paris Hilton all share in common

Both Mr. Beast and Alex Hormozi seem to follow a similar strategy.

Mr Beast gives away all his earnings in exchange for more followers, fame, and goodwill.

Alex Hormozi provides free course training, super valuable videos without (directly) selling anything, and almost free books in exchange for more followers, fame, goodwill, and authority.

Call it a "fame strategy".

And in the age of mass audiences, it may be the biggest shortcut available to success.

It's not a new business model.

It's just applied in novel ways.

Paris Hilton was one of the first to use fame for business in the digital age.

The tech web 2.0 unicorns of Facebook, Twitter, IG, and then TikTok did something similar. Give free or cheap to find a mass of users, and then find other indirect ways to monetize them.

Mr. Beast applied to the creators' space.

And Alex now applies it to "business acceleration" / venture capital -or however you wanna call it-.

Now that he's exploding Alex doesn't have to look for businesses: I bet he's got people clamoring and begging to join his accelerator.

Yeah, as they say, "Attention is the new currency." And sometimes giving away free value is the best way to get that attention (which one can monetize later).

Same in the video game industry as well, with games being released that are free to play, but come with in-app purchases to improve or enhance the gaming experience.

Sometimes I call it an "attention-first strategy" (as opposed to one where money is required from prospects first).

Yeah, and it's often very effective.

Of course now we're judging the successes and many other times it failed it didn't register.

And as for almost everything, doesn't mean it's always going to work or it's always the best approach, but looking at those successes when it's been used in the right market with conviction and real value, it tends to raise to the top -seems almost like an easy guess that Alex will be the most popular business "guru"/personality soon-.
