"Together" a simple and powerful word

Hello everyone,

we talk a lot about frames. I admire Lucio's way of using few words to create powerful and complex frames.

Here is one that I like to use: "together".

It's really simple. The frame is: collaboration.

Example:

Me: We're going to do this.

Me: We're going to do this together.

How to use it

Just sprinkle it in your interactions as you see fit. Just a pinch is enough. If there is an adversarial frame going on, I would recommend 2 tablespoons to a cup.

If you use it with success, let me know as this will reinforce it for other forum members.

Cheers!

Absolutely!

I also use it very often.

Either directly stated, or implied, as in this recent exchange:

Meet and talk = we decide together

I avoid letting her pick the place, but I also avoid picking it myself (plus, save time rather than chatting :).

Yeah, I love this implied frame.

Let's meet and talk.

Meta: repetition for learning.

It's a great frame as there is a mental picture of two (or more) people coming together and negotiating, which also implies win-win.

That is what I meant by "powerful and complex frames with few words" (no flattery, my impression). There are few words but the mental image is powerful. Leader-like++

I mean that a leader evokes images through stories in people's mind of a shared and common goal. That's what this formulation achieves. Elegant!

Thanks!
