TPM live event: idea

Hello Lucio,

I had this idea of a live event. I’m sure you already considered it.

I thought about for instance self-defense. I printed the main points from the « shame attacks » self defense from PU. I have it in my kitchen and read it about once a week.

However it’s not the best way to learn this in my opinion.

So I thought it could be a live event with you explaining a self-defense concept with examples. It could be over 1-2 days. That’s usually the duration of live training in medicine.

How I envision it:

You would explain the concept. Then take a live example with a person in the know. There would be an exchange where one person would attack the other with a shame attack. Then the other one would defend in front of the audience with the different techniques to show how and when to apply them. This would be based on scripts that you could both be reading live on teleprompters (laptop computers) that could only be seen by both of you. The screen would be facing you being besides/behind the other person.

There could be an example when the defense is bad (what we would do without the knowledge) and one when the defense is successful (with the applied knowledge). Then we would do it in small groups of 2 people with one person attacking and the other person defending. To improve the learning ROI each person could reveal an insecurity or a non-PC belief that the other person would use to attack. Therefore people could train on real life situations that put them in difficult situations that they encountered before.

So topics of self defense could come from PU « self-defense » lesson.

Another idea: maybe there could be a « boss fight » at the end of the group training where people would reveal an insecurity to you publicly and you would be the one attacking them with shame attacks. Maybe 3-5 people max or 1 per topic to conclude and show the progress since it’s not feasible to do more. I know this idea is a bit out there so not intending to frame you as an enemy but rather as a socially skilled person who would challenge the participants. Of course there would be plenty of positive reinforcement feed-back. The goal of this event would not be to crush people but rather to help them find ways to defend in training that they could use in real life.

There could also be an event on frame control with the topics of:

  1. Frame Ignoring
  2. Frame Rejection
  3. Reframing
  4. Frame Buffet
  5. Philosopher’s Frame
  6. Win-Win Frames & Reframes
  7. High-Dominance Frames

Regarding the price I think $500-$700 is the kind of price I would pay for this kind of training. Of course the price is decided on many factors. This is what I think people would be ready to pay. No intention of anchor.

This could also be a yearly event/convention for TPM. This would allow people to network between them and to meet IRL.

Further this could be a franchise where you have coaches on each continent giving this kind of training. Since people here are in Europe, Americas, Australia, etc.

The main idea is to take the topics that are more difficult to learn in PU with concepts and examples and that would be easier to learn IRL with live training situations.

The number of people would be from 10-30 people. Ideally I think 20 is optimal for individual learning. There would be of course meals/breaks as usual. Regarding accommodation there could be either an all-inclusive at the same hotel (including you?) so the next morning people would have breakfast together at the hotel to maximize connections and getting to know one another.

The public ideally would be PU alumni but not forcibly. The channels for the advertisement would be the usual social media ones + forum + announcement at the top of PU banner for current students.

At the beginning people could introduce themselves with a short presentation. And could wear badges. At the end of the weekend people could say one thing that they learned over the weekend.

If any aspect of this idea appeals to you I’m happy to collaborate with you on such a project. Otherwise as usual feel free to ignore.

If other members have additional ideas/input feel free to share them.

Hello Lucio,

First, I want to say I'm happy to share ideas here. I'd be grateful if you could share a little feed-back on this one. I think it helps the community to know what's relevant or not for you/TPM. I think it could help boost engagement/enthusiasm for the development of TPM.
