Hey Lucio, happy to see you are having fun with the Rothbard's books.
Thanks for giving me credit 🙂
Man, economy and state with power and market is probably his magnus opus.
A longer read, yet pretty enjoyable i bet for an intellectual man as you are.
The libertarian philosophy supports all “victimless crimes” that might be considered morally dubious, but which are not hurting anyone, including:
- Drug consumption
- Sexual deviation
- Prostitution
- Abortion
And, of course, the freedom to speak, publish, and assemble
Just a clarification, i would not say libertarianism necessarily support those actions, it is just that they would not be against the law.
Exceptions may be prostitution of too young children, forced prostitution obviously as that is slavery+rape, and in regards to abortion it depends if we believe the embryo, fetus, baby inside the womb is or is not a "victim", pretty sure many liberals are not so sure about abortion status as a "victimless" crime, and some still consider it murder/infanticide, more so if practiced late term.
I mean i know those specific topics are not the marrow of the book nor of the review, yet as we value ethical analysis here i felt compelled to pick on those.
Very good books reviews! Thank you.
