What can you do for me?

I have come across this question many times during regular talks with people and dating.

And the frame seems that I have to please the other person.

I welcome ideas from members here on how would you reply to that. Going meta might be good but it might seem an overkill and will kill rapport though I get to establish boundaries.

I can't remember having been asked this question in normal life.

Maybe a few times when in sales, in which case it was a very direct, but fair question.

But outside of that, I can't recall a single instance.

Do you have some examples when people asked that to you?

Example : during first interaction

Girl : What can you do for me?

Was very random, went metal and didn't go well

One option:

Girl: What can you do for me?
You: (corrugate your eyebrows, as if to say "this is so weird, what the f*ck is she talking about) wait... I don't get it, why should I do anything for you

Let her come up with a reason why.

Let us know if you get a chance of using it in real life, curious to hear what you get back.
