What would an Eagle do?
Quote from John Freeman on July 30, 2023, 6:57 amHello,
I’m sure you heard it in self-development: « what would Tyler Durden do? »
Of course we can use different people instead of Tyler Durden. I personnally never used it because I did not want to imitate someone as in trying to be them.
Today I’m thinking about a different mindset and still use this kind of formulation:
What would an Eagle do?
To me it feels more natural as it is a generic identity so I can be my own version of an Eagle. I find it more empowering.
I’m not saying we must go around thinking like this all the time. I think these kind of mindsets are helpful when we feel stuck and to think outside of our usual « box ».
We also can use it with: what would a great seducer do? Instead of what would Casanova do?
I don’t think this is a game changer. Rather a tool in the toolbox that might be useful from time to time. It’s a new idea. I’ll experiment with it.
