Why Eagles & Turkeys? Continued
Quote from Matthew Whitewood on October 12, 2021, 7:32 pmMatthew: Why do we represent value-takers with the animal turkey?
I used to associate turkey with Christmas.
Lucio: Turkey was because of the saying "you can't fly with the eagles when you surround yourself with turkeys".
Plus the fact that turkeys are ground animals and easily domesticated ( = indoctrinated/manipulated).The fact that they're fed and domesticated until they get slaughtered on Christmas is also a bonus actually. When you depend on others instead of empowering yourself, that can also happen.
This reminds me that life has a lot of luck involved.
If I was born a turkey animal instead of a human, I may have already been slaughtered.
Ignoring the philosophical question that, if I was a turkey, I probably wouldn't even be thinking like this.I do see that authorities are constantly trying to domesticate individuals.
Reminds me of the founders espousing "warm, fuzzy" startup cultures, and suddenly firing you when convenient.
Maybe before one's stock options vest. How I view turkeys during my Christmas dinner is probably how some authorities view me as a person.
But if I think outside the box, I can still nevertheless be relatively free.
At least free in the mind.
