Women: here's what to do if it's your boss to make a sexually inappropriate comment
I am now reading and reviewing "The Myth of the Nice Girl".
A wonderful book.
Here is how Fran Hauser, the author, drew boundaries when it was an executive above her paygrade got out of line when, in a meeting room full of people, said:
“Let’s post a photo of Fran in that short dress she was wearing the other day. That would get a lot of clicks.”
The room plunged into silence and the author froze for a second.
And then said:
Can I please talk to you outside?
Everyone in the room knew that she was drawing her boundaries and standing up for herself.
But it was a smart move, because doing it in private allowed the executive to partially save his face.
