Writing a manifesto. Any tips?

I'm convinced one needs a manifesto to launch a community.

Googling didn't provide anything useful. From a fried who is good at this, he recommends to start with an ideal customer profile, do lots of interviews, THEN writing it. But that's not super actionable. Any pointers you have found useful?

Also known as vision. Here's an example: https://thefutur.com/our-story

"Teach one billion people how to make a living, doing what they love (without losing their soul)"

To answer my own question in case anyone needs this info in the future...

Not much I found in books and blog posts. There's one 'online personality' that seems to like manifestos: Seth Godin.

He speaks in a very abstract way and rarely do you get actionable advice. His books are... hmm a bit heavy on platitude and repetition.

But this is what I could gather from him that helped me write a manifesto. Just write up with this guide: "People like us do things like these." This tends to produce a manifesto.

Thank you for the update, LOF!

And feel free to share that manifesto if you're willing to :).
