Yeah, those exchange lessons have endless ramifications in real life and you're seeing lots of them in some of your exchanges (great!).
This could be a general rule is:
The more you have, the more you beware
The more you have or acquire, and the higher value you are or become, the more careful you want to be with the giving, the people around you, and how well you assess them.
The lady in the last example wasn't just a taker/leech, she was also a stupid leech.
She could have kept being nice and a good friend and kept it win-win.
Since it's normal for the person who has more also gives more, it'd have been great for her.
Instead, her greediness, short-termism, and nastiness got the best of her own best interest.
At the risk of coming across as brutal, to me, these kinds of people are scum.
Still, the empowered stance is that it's always up to us to make sure we enforce the boundaries of fair social exchanges.

I belive right now i am almost at the middle of the spectrum. Between 2012 and 2020, until the day you gave me a much needed lesson on please please please behaviour, My behaviour was at the exact opposite spectrum of kindness. I got taken advantage of so much, i had completely shut kindness off for people, and looked to maximise self interest (passive aggresively).

BTW, this is case where some people could consider some Machiavellian evening-out to rebalance the past wrong and send the message that you're not to be taken advantage of anymore.
Suspending the "be straight/assertive", and possibly even the "make friends" (/don't make unnecessary enemies) general rule.
For example:
Judy: send car
Mach: sure, coming (don't send anything of course)
When she calls again, one could go:
Judy: still waiting, nobody the driver didn't show up
Mach: busy now, call in 5 minutes I'll check
When she calls again, keep doing your own thing.
Then FADE from the manipulator.
When they chase and invest more, you regain power and rebalance the past.
Or after a few times, one may say:
Mach: I heard some crap around
Let her explain, ler her guess, ler her invest.
Then one could either say "you fucked up" or just end without a closure.

That's a good way to "make her pay".
Or after a few times, you may say:

This is the most perfect ending to that fucked up friendship i could imagine!! Having low key regrets of that not happening today.
How would it be if i just went MIA instead of confronting her?
