Dating scarcity -> abundance mindset
Quote from Mathieu on December 27, 2021, 7:16 pmGuys,
What are the best strategies to get a girlfriend?
I don't want to sound hopeless, but that looks pretty scarce out there.
When you hear there is an abundance of women, where do those who says that go about to find them?
Today, I decided to put myself on 3 dating apps.
Do you guys have other strategies to find a girl?

Quote from Matthew Whitewood on December 27, 2021, 8:27 pmDid you get seduction university?
Dating apps are one way to meet women. It can be challenging though due to the competition.
Have you considered cold approach, events, social circles, etc?
If you want more specific advice, we need a lot more information on your situation, city, challenges, etc.

Quote from Kellvo on December 27, 2021, 9:14 pmWhat value do you have already? Where can you cultivate more? How can you display it?
What type of girls already dig you? Where can you start gaining experience? What strengths can you play up to?
What kind of man do you want to be? What type of women would he have? How did he get there?
Above all, a meta-question - What sources of joy can you find without a girlfriend now?
I hope this helps, brother. Good luck out there!

Quote from Transitioned on December 27, 2021, 10:17 pmBig topic. I too would be interested in what SU says. I only know from my experience Lucio gathers far and wide, critically examines and refines through his own experience and the knowledge of the group.
I ll kick in a few discussion points from my own past lives.
First is dating is selling yourself and your lifestyle and values. Like all sales you should go multichannel and try and build a lead generation machine.
Next is screening. You want to be very careful who you let into your life romantically.
Last the nature of online dating. It really is panning through a mountain of rocks to find the odd rare gem. Most good women get introduced to guys. It's the used car market. A lot of people sell a car because it's starting to have problems so many used cars are disasters.  Good women will go on swipe apps occasionally out of curiosity or because their friends talked them into it. They don't stay on or active long. OLD like all social media is designed to get you addicted to that dopamine hit. It can be quite dangerous if you take it too seriously and spend too much time. Most guys find it helpful to set themselves some ground rules.
Like the guys said if you want any more targeted advice we need more info.

Quote from Mathieu on December 28, 2021, 12:45 amHi Guys,
What do you need to know? I am just trying to figure out what are the different ways to meet and get a girlfriend.
There is online and offline.
I started with online. I choose Badoo and Tinder.
Now I am going offline. What is the best:1/ Targeting women magnet places like Yoga club?
2/ What do you think of using making-friends app ?
3/ I don't like clubs. Most good women get introduced to guys.
Do you mean as opposed to online? Or through cold approach?

Quote from Transitioned on December 28, 2021, 1:15 amThere seem to be a few questions the guys have suggested above. Maybe answering those could help the discussion?
Also when people take time to help you maybe liking their posts is a good habit to build?

Building on top of the excellent advice by Kellvo and Transitioned, I will expand upon their points and start with an analogy.Imagine if I came to you and asked
Me: Hey Mathieu, could you recommend me a restaurant?
Now you will probably start thinking
You: Where do I start with this?
I don't even know which city he is in.
Looks like I may need to ask a lot of questions to find out exactly what he wants.
Google, Yelp and TripAdvisor would actually do a better job than me at making a recommendation. So you will probably ask me
You: Hey Matthew, if you hop onto Yelp, you can find some great, restaurant recommendations in your city.
The questions you ask below are very hard to answer without knowing your tastes, preferences, situation, etc:

This is why I pointed to Seduction University.
Lucio gives a fantastic breakdown of the strategy of finding dates and also going on to form a relationship from there.Maybe you don't really know what you want yet.
That's okay.
If you don't really know what you are looking for, I would recommend going on a variety of dates first rather than something further down the line like a relationship (girlfriend as you mentioned). There are probably 2 things to focus on learning:
- What are your preferences? Self-exploration
- What are the best ways of meeting those preferences? The dating process
I would also ask the following questions:
- How good are you at generally striking up conversations with people?
- How do you find your conversations with new people to be?
- Do you find it easy to make friends in general?
- Do you generally enjoy the friends you have and the new people you meet?
The above points are lower pressure to work with.
I started out from there as well to build social skills.I would put the matter of scarcity and abundance aside for now.
Get a simple plan. Make it really simple.
Like, talk to 3 new women at the nearby Yoga club every Monday.
And then get the ball rolling (start talking to women, going on dates, etc).Of course, get Seduction University because it shortens your learning curve with the above.
It looks like the course is getting better with time as well.
Thanks for giving more information.

Quote from Mathieu on December 28, 2021, 6:35 pmHey @transitioned,
Of course I value everyone's feedbacks, including yours.
I also align 100% with the "value accounting" principle and to use it all the time, but right now you're using it to make yourself look good and make me look bad, and I am NOT OK with that.
I feel those threads are not about you, me, anyone in particular, they are here to raise and fix problems that everyone is having.
I don't think the +10,000 viewers that will benefit from the advices care much whether I "liked" your posts or not.Instead, I will write a big thank you post to thank everyone's input, at the end of the conversation.
So 100% aligned with the give/take principle that PU promotes.
Cheers,

Quote from Kellvo on December 28, 2021, 8:39 pmHello there Mathieu,
Look, we know you're truly looking to be - and likely already are - a value-adding man in different areas of life. And you really got stuff going for you, otherwise you wouldn't be here. We truly are here to help.
At the same time, we went out of our way to contribute value to you too. And that kind of knowledge does not come easily. We want to know that you're at least looking to put it to good use.
Also, a side note - everyone is a student sometimes, even the most dominant person; there is no shame in learning from those (currently) ahead of you. We believe in lifting up those who truly are aiming to climb and make the world a better place too. Grow, improve and assimilate our lessons; soon you'll be teaching other people too.
Till then, take care.

Quote from Mathieu on December 28, 2021, 10:05 pmHello Kellvo,
Maybe a few things I need to clarify too.
I am not a student of nobody. You are not a teacher. And I am not below you. I am equal. And I share my issues, and what I believe could be anyone's issue.
At the same time, we went out of our way to contribute value to you too.
My contributions are equally worthy as yours. And I would never inflate their value to make you feel bad.
There is no shame in learning from those (currently) ahead of you.
I felt no shame. Until you wrote that. Why do you want to shame me?
Anyway, I do not intend to offend anyone. I am super busy, I know you guys are busy. Let's kick back the topic.
