Power taking teacher.
Quote from Power Duck on August 14, 2023, 12:13 amUpdate on the topic:
The guy stopped giving me classes 3 weeks before my finals as he had to study for some exams too. He gave me the news some time after not attending to the online classes without previously telling me. All that despite we had a "deal" of him teaching me two times a week.
Did the same 2 weeks ago because he had "pharyngitis", on Friday he texted me apologising and telling me that he had been those 2 weeks abroad on vacation (seems like he forgot he told me he had pharyngitis). Too bad for him, I already have another teacher. She doesn't pull power moves, explains better, faster than him and is cute.
You reap what you sow.
Cheers 🙂
P.S:
Still haven't replied to him and I don't think I will 😛

Usually this kind of behavior in a teacher is indicative of not being competent, so changing could be beneficial on all sides.
Seems like you were right about it. I could've done this earlier, but well, better late than never.
Now I definitely know the kind of behaviour I won't admit in private teachers.
Cheers.

Reading how these situations end up is very useful to validate perceptions and perspectives and gain a fuller picture.
