First contact with new client: did I make a mistake here in being too vague?

Nice going, Bel!

Your post sounds solid: adds the fee framing it as a small detail (which is good for you and for many high net worth customers, it is a detail) while also moving forward at the same time.
Great combo.

Thank you, Lucio!

It's very helpful to understand the principles behind my email, which I only now consciously grasp after reading your post.

It allows me to reiterate it in the future.

Updating this.

I did the work and got paid. The client seems content.

I sent him a final email where I mentioned I was "happy about having been of assistance, and glad to be of assistance as well for future projects".

I kept it one line and much shorter that the final email I used to send to clients in the past.

The crucial thing was being able to wait three weeks between my first email to him and when he responded back.

I believe he was testing me to see if I was a "nuisance" lawyer.

Very useful to have learned this in all areas of life.

Previously I would have been absolutely unable to handle this uncertainty wait time. But now I see infinite applications to use this skill.

Nice, rock on Bel!

I removed just yesterday the word "riches" from the webpage title to focus more on the social aspect.

But it was a marketing choice, and not because it was wrong.
Power skills do also "pay" :).
