Getting nicer now.
I told him to make the first chick look down to seem a little more downtrodden and "unassaertive".
And the third one to already start spreading its wings:

I think it may now gain from being less "crowded" in the right portion of the design now, and to add some more spacing.

Closed beak: more majesty/royal like vs more agressive/warrior-like.
Maybe it could also benefit from having a head more tilted to the back. In a kind of defiant/proud stance. A suggestion.

Also agree with more spacing on the right, like more close between 1st and second, a little more space between 2nd and 3rd and so on and so forth. To give a sense of speed, growth and movement.

Thank you Bel!
I added myself to the closed beak as well.
3-0, so unless someone else strongly prefers the open beak, it's almost decided.

I find the sequence very fitting:
- first image has downcast head, like a submissive person in real life
- second image is bigger, knows something is amiss, but still static, does not move, maybe is thinking
- third image is still on the ground, but open beak (ie learning to fight, aggress, respond to fire with fire)
- last stage is flying higher; beak is closed, does not need to fight, but can (fight, open beak) if wants to.
Probably mirrors the growth stages of many people/students. As you wrote recently, learning (and practicing) to fight is necessary even if you later want to avoid fighting (and prefer to fly higher).
Also, another thing that stuck with me (and oriented my behavior) is what you wrote about lose/lose, ie it being a better option to learn quicker than lose/win.

Bingo Bel, you guessed it.
It's supposed to symbolize the progression through TPM/PU.
And to give proper credit, I was originally thinking the third eagle was also too aggressive with the open beak, but thanks to you know I'm leaning more towards keeping it that way.
