My Journey to Power
Quote from Matthew Whitewood on October 15, 2023, 8:21 pmSomething I'm noticing is the higher status you go, the more attacks will come.
It's both a test of if you really are high-power/high-status (do you deserve it? are these honest signals?) and jealousy (why does he get to enjoy high status and why don't I?).
Yesterday at my birthday party (yes another one, this time organized by friends) I got many attacks and they were all coming from the women.
Happy belated birthday!
I do think that the higher status you go, the more potential frenemies you make.
I think it's quite nasty that they're attacking you on your birthday.
Maybe the women are unhappy because you're uninterested in them.
Nevertheless, it's indeed quite silly of them to attack you as someone who's rising in status. When too many frenemies start happening, I try to peal off with the individuals in the group I like.
If you're close to the birthday organizers, maybe you could let them know that you prefer inviting only "your closer friends" to certain celebrations. But maybe you like big birthday celebrations, or I'm unaware of the details of the group dynamics.
So now I'm in a phase where I'm a bit bitter towards western modern women. As it's true there are many who are nasty/low-quality. And I've been way too nice with them and many mens are indeed simping/pedestalizing them. So they feel entitled to behave like that whereas in terms of self-development they are not on the same level at all as many male friends/colleagues.
Yeah I think these type of women are quite annoying.
On the flip side, they are marginalising themselves by showing high-status men who not to date.
Edit: I realised its connected to your thread here. I'm reading more on your thread:

Yeah we agree.
I think it's quite nasty that they're attacking you on your birthday.
I agree.

Yeah it's part of it, but the attacks started even before I said hello.
Nevertheless, it's indeed quite silly of them to attack you as someone who's rising in status.
Yeah they could benefit from being my friend as I probably will have more and more value to offer.

In this very case: I'm invited to a friend's place where he invited 80% of his friends and 20% of my friends. He basically killed 2 birds with 1 stone. I did not know 50% of people. Still he made a birthday Tira Mi Su with candles, sung a song and gave me a gift. So it was a real birthday party however in this sense. So unusal dynamics. And yes the only girl I was interested in was the cool blond polish girl who brought me a gift with her boyfriend. I did not know them but they brought me a gift. All the others except my friends did not. So it tells you about the quality of people as well. Givers vs Takers. They seemed like students so it's not like they had more money than the others.
What women were jealous about is that it's now the 3rd event for my birthday: 1 adventure WE I organized with a group of friends, 1 dinner at the restaurants I organized with another group of friends and this one where I got invited. So I'm sure they're thinking: "no one does it for me". Women are all about status: for them and for men. Attention means status and they love attention. So I think they secretly resent someone who gathers more attention than them.
On the flip side, they are marginalising themselves by showing high-status men who not to date.
Yeah, now I don't have sex with anybody. Even if the girl is hot if she's not high quality enough I'm not attracted.
Side note: "They fuck more than you" is the restaurant event I organized.
Thanks Matthew for your answer and your wishes!

I think that because as men we have to do self-development in order to attract women, by definition most of the men who do self-development will be of higher quality than most women (since most don't do self-development, relying on their looks and the fact of being a woman being enough).
Hello John
I can very much relate to your bitterness. I agree with you that Western women have become worse in many ways compared to the past.
Men who really want to be successful in the western market (lover type) have to have a lot of qualities (inner and especially outer). From my environment (18-28) the men who can really attract many women are definitely in the top 2-3% of all men (or at least they can present themselves as if they were). Like most men who will reach the top, they use their position to their advantage and sleep with a lot of women. I know men who have a bodycount of over 200+ at 22 (not that it is something desirable, but to show the extent).
These women (mostly low quality women who think they are high quality) then sleep with them and tell themselves they could have such a man for a relationship. Of course, that rarely happens. The thing is, these men are, as I said, only the top and will certainly not take a woman they have fucked on the club toilet as a girlfriend. (I have also seen this many times... unfortunately).
What I wonder is. What about the men who focus on their success, their self-development, their mission? At 28-35 they will be at the peak of their sexual market value, if things go right. What options do they have?
I mean, who wants a girlfriend/wife who has been fucked in some shitty toilet in a club. Or someone manipulative, with a fragile ego, who thinks she doesn't have to do anything in a relationship. So much turkey behavior, it's devestating.
When you're high in dark triad traits and trying to better yourself and get away from bad behavioral patterns, and then you see shit like this, it's like a slap in the face man, every time. So many women who throw away all their potential for no good reason.

Quote from John Freeman on October 15, 2023, 11:48 pmThanks, Roberto. Yeah I agree with you.
I met women with good mentality while travelling for instance or there are a few at work as well.
It all depends on their education, how much they have been spoiled by Instagram and Dating apps. Also I think spirituality matters. I'm going to write more on this in a dedicated post. Basically a couple who are friend of mine, their life is centered around their pleasure and buying things. What they talk about is where she has been travelling to and what she has bought. Otherwise, it's about comparison on those area with other people, gossiping and social climbing (from the woman).
So shallow life all in all from my POV. So for me spirituality is a criterion for people. They don't have to believe what I believe, they can be religious or non-religious. Heck it can even be a cause. I noticed that when people believe in something greater than themselves it makes them more humble and relatable. It's like a (relative) vaccine against the bullshit that people are trying to sell us on a daily basis to take our money in exchange for empty stuff: empty movies, empty food, empty connections, etc.
That's what I am at peace with some of my friends now: I understand that what will share is partying, hiking and board games. It's fine. We won't have the deep conversations I like because it's just not part of their interests for most of them.
So to go back to your point. Yes, since it's all about appearances, it's about portraying ourselves as the top 2-3% I agree with you, you're right. That's the game everyone is playing. We just have to be better at it.
So for me it means: the gym (I started doing cardio), dressing better, doing the last fix on my teeth, buying furnitures for my apartment, buying my car: all material things that are my goal in the next year. Also improving my social circle with more women and higher quality higher value people so I can attract more easily higher quality women.
It also means exposing myself to more women. So I will prioritize going out over board games. The trick is that the shallow women are the ones who go out the most. So ideally it would be to do a hobby that I like that have many women that I would meet there. So work in progress.
200+ at 22 is impressive but scary at the same time. There are consequences to that.
Thanks, Roberto. Yeah I agree with you.

That's also why I talked about spirituality. I respect any belief, atheism included. What was interesting regarding the inner self is that my friend's GF who's a total manipulator said that: "It was giving her anxiety to think about the Universe and stuff". I found it interesting. I think it's important to be at peace with the fact that we are so little and that we don't matter in the grand scheme of things. If we're unaware of it then we have a problem. Nobody is going to remember me in 100 years I'm quite sure of that. And that's a microsecond in the life of the Universe.

Quote from John Freeman on October 16, 2023, 8:16 amI am going to write a series of post. I encountered a series of power moves worth sharing. Some are worth a post. Some I will post in my journal if I think they don't deserve one.
It would be better for the community if I posted them over time. However there is the risk of forgetting. So I hope it won't be too much of an overload.

Quote from John Freeman on October 16, 2023, 8:23 amResident stick her tongue out to me
At work we were joking around with a female resident. She's a bit immature, nerdy, kawai, manga and all that stuff.
Her: [her sticks her tongue out in a childish manner responding to my friendly tease (was not too strong nor demeaning)]
Me: it's not pretty to stick your tongue out
Her: [does it again]
Here I let it slip. The reason is that the intention behind it was not mean. It was childish. I considered telling her later in 1-on-1: "you know you cannot stick your tongue out to colleagues at work. It's not appropriate. Especially to your attending". But I let it go. It's not that serious even if it's disrepectful. It's more inadequate than mean. I think it would have been appropriate to tell her 1-on-1 but they already get a lot of criticism on their work (they're beginners) and she has a fragile ego. So strategically it's better even if for my own self-respect it's worse. So lose-win but acceptable I think.
Next time I will tell her. Now too much time has passed so it's on me for not having spoken out sooner.

Quote from John Freeman on October 16, 2023, 8:35 amNegationism
At my birthday 1 week ago when we were at a bar we were going to leave. We meet two feminists (piercing all over her face, etc.) and one of us asks what they were talking about (mistake, should have ignored them).
Her: Negationism
Me (provokingly joking since it's a heavy topic and I don't think there is much to talk about apart from virtue-signaling): Yeah it never existed the alien did it.
Her: blablabla
Me: you seriously think I believe it? (She's too stupid to understand that I'm making fun of negationists so I'm on her side. I'm a man so I'm the enemy.)
Her (pointing angrily a finger at me): you can joke with your own minority but you cannot joke with other minorities (what a stupid statement and who is she? The thought police?)
We end up leaving.
Later we meet them again as I'm making fun of her with a friend who would have destroyed her. She overhears it: "You're still talking about it" (power move, frame "you're so invested in this/us?"). I say: "Well there is matter to laugh" (I see my mistake now: I entered her frame. That's what I must absolutely master: not enter other's frames).
I must admit I could not resist: I had in front of me the same stupid people that I see on Youtube. I could have said silent but some part of me could not resist.
These people who virtue signal, who are actually traumatized by their childhood/life events and instead going to the psychiatrist/psychologist run around to hurt/attack people using victim mentality in order to relieve a bit of their suffering temporarily. I think it's taker behaviour and I don't like it. It's the exact same behaviour as young men who have difficulties in their lives and are going out in order to get into a drunken fight to feel powerful/little bit better. Aggression in both cases.

Quote from John Freeman on October 16, 2023, 11:13 amThanks to my psychologist I can now identify a mistake I've been doing with manipulators that triggered aggression towards me.
He told me (talking about perverse "arrangement") to never make them lose face in public and to respect them. Will do.
Update: because I disliked them I was probably not respecting them enough.
