I want to thank Lucio for his recent post about impersonal/general communication.
I started using it and I think it's a game changer. I was aware of the indirect vs direct communication but this is like a whole new dimension of communication opening up to me. Before I was using it semi-consciously or from now and then. Now with your description, I better understand the scope and use cases of it.
Thank you Lucio for your advice and guidance on moving abroad.
I understand today that now my mental barriers regarding this project fell down. Yes, I moved abroad before but here I have now found some kind of comfort so the incentive to take that risk are quite low. I was also scared of the change. Until I realised I don't have anything to lose. I have one life.
The first "Aha" moment was when you told me that moving abroad for love made sense, a year ago or so. And then you helping me to consolidate the 1 million people city idea. I thought about it before but I was afraid to move away from nature. Also for helping me to focus on the 1-2 priorities to choose a place. I was in analysis paralysis as every place had its pros and cons: this place has pretty girls but it's cold. This place has cool people but it's remote. So there was no possibility to make a choice. Yes, I will lose things to move but it's to gain the things I don't have right now.
I don't know what the future will have in store for me, but now I feel confident to move forward in this direction. The possible benefits are higher than the cost, I can see that now. In terms of career and dating opportunities.
The fear of taking that step is in the past now.
One important aspect is that paradoxically I think it can help me to move forward in my career faster than if I would have stayed. In Switzerland, people value a lot foreign experience. You go to Canada, USA, England, you come back you're a God. So I can beat my competition this way as well.
Not so short thank you, in the end.

I'd like to thank Bel and Lucio, for the interest showed in a situation I alluded to in a recent thread. In fact, I started to write about it when I read Lucio's answer. But as I was writing, it occured to me that I was not comfortable writing in such detail about close relatives. Even if I changed the names, as we usually do here, the relationship I have with these people is a central aspect of the interaction that took place and must be stated in order to explain why certain things were said or took place. This is something that makes them too easily identifiable, in case I one day decide to shed my anonymity in the forum (or somehow it gets taken).
And Lucio, thank you, both for the compliments and the invaluable feedback!
