I got a favor to ask.
If you got 5 minutes to spare, I'd like feedback on this exchange here.

The hyperlink was the same colour as the surrounding words.
As such, I was a bit stumped as to which exchange Lucio was referring to.I almost wanted to ask "which exchange".
Then I managed to figure out that Lucio was referring to the linked thread.

Quote from Transitioned on July 21, 2021, 10:47 pmHi I didn't know where to post this one. I read about the dip in sales after moving to the installment plan. I must confess I I haven't closely followed the changes to the courses and website so please ignore me if I've missed the point.
Anyway a bit of insight into my psychology as a customer. I purchased the one year access to articles on top of PU to support Lucio's work. TBH being techie I already knew a couple of ways around the paywall.
I liked the one year fee because I knew upfront the extent of my financial commitment. As Lucia says you should keep recurring costs low.
I've also had trouble in the past with unscrupulous organisations that lock you into a subscription and then make it very difficult to cancel it. Of course you can change your credit card number but that is a huge p i t a. Now I know that Lucio would never do that. But it's becoming sop so much that I would feel uneasy signing up to a subscription model.

Thank you for the feedback, Kevin!
That's a very good one indeed.
Maybe I should take more steps to assuage people's fears / increase trust.
Or maybe say they can cancel, but lose access (and then have the last couple modules release only after X amount of time).Definitely something to look into indeed.
You're right that it's becoming common practice to make cancellations harder.
Even a website with people I respected was hiding the subscription model, and only allowed you to cancel by writing them (and then having to reply again to the customary email "but are you really sure"?)

Everything is shown as italicized only after our posts go live.
This makes it harder to format posts properly.

Do you think that quotes should not be italicized at all, or that if that they do, it should show italicized while formatting the post?

Quote from Ali Scarlett on July 26, 2021, 6:00 pmI think it looks more aesthetically pleasing the way it is now (with everything automatically italicized).
Yet, I also think that a "function over fashion" approach is more valuable to the forum here. In my opinion, being able to communicate ideas effectively—function—is more important than the blockquotes' looks (i.e. "fashion").
So, to answer your question, Lucio, I'm leaning towards the latter. I think we should be able to use italics where we decide we want to while formatting the post. Then, have the post reflect our formatting decisions after submission.
E.g.
Current: "Collaborative frames are a much better social strategy for life effectiveness than competitive frames."
Optional Update: "Collaborative frames are a much better social strategy for life effectiveness than competitive frames."

And P.S.: loved the example with one of TPM's core assumptions 😀

Quote from Matthew Whitewood on July 26, 2021, 6:37 pmI am on the same page as Ali.
Italicised font makes text challenging to read.
So conversations should be in normal font.
Since we use blockquotes for conversations, I think blockquotes should be in the normal font by default.Normal Font
Person A: Hello, this is my name.
Person B: Hello, nice to meet you.
Person A: I would like to discuss about this.
Easy to read.
