Quote from Lucio Buffalmano on August 8, 2020, 7:53 amGreat catch, John!
Important typos to fix also for social status and power dynamics as well, since people who catch them tend to infer low intelligence on the part of those who commit them (chances are the link is very tenuous, but that's what people think anyway).
Similar ones are:
- quiet/ quite
- their / they're
- its / it's
- you're / your

Quote from John Freeman on August 14, 2020, 8:15 pmBosses, just like most normal people, love employees pandering to them.
When you complain that your colleague is being political this is what your boss hears:
Is this MF telling me I don’t deserve being pampered?
And maybe he doesn’t deserve pampering, but you don’t want to be the one reminding him.
Module 4 chapter 9: "Pampering"?

Quote from Lucio Buffalmano on August 14, 2020, 8:43 pmHi John,
Thank you again!
"Pandering to someone" I believe is correct.
But it is indeed very confusing that I used "pandering" first and "pampered" later, so I fixed. And fixed previous typo as well, thank you!

Well English spelling is a nightmare! if we were talking about other language..., thats why we should go easy on English non-native speakers! and someone who already speaks a second language ,with some level of profficiency, should get some IQ points on our list, lol.

Example: to openly and candidly state that you expect a favor back after you provide a favor. For example “you owe me”, or “you
-the end is missing
Similar: guilt-tripping, social scalping
- don’t know if something was supposed to follow or just a final dot.
