Hello Lucio,

I think you might want to change the title of this thread. From "Peope" to "People". It's such a great thread. Did you link to it in the best resources?

Cheers!

Done. Thanks, John!

In this thread, I meant "virtue-signaling" of course. Could you please change the title?

For sure, done.

And still, "value-signaling" it made me think of a possible new term and area of social strategies.

It's not a new idea, it's what the old pick-up artists used to call "DHV", or "demonstrator of higher value".
But I'm not sure it's a good idea to stick with that name since some techniques were quite poor, including carrying around props for magic tricks, and printed pictures to show off "how cool you are".

Hey John ( @amerok ),

Those recent case studies are all great, though to be "proper" case study it should analyze a specific interaction or exchange, and should have a beginning and end, with a lesson learned or analysis.

So for example, Iggy Pop VS Ziggy Stardust is a good case study since there a:

  • Challenge: the "me VS you frame"
  • Response: moves from "me VS you" to "win-win"
  • Analysis: the response was good

The frame control video from Charisma on Command not as well, since it's a whole video, including a few different scenarios.

The idea of that section is that people can open a thread, and they can see a strategy or technique applied in real life, with what effect it produced, and possibly why it worked.

If it's a longer exchange, to make it easier to follow, transcribing the dialogue can also help the reader.

Edit:
It's my bad for having never clarified that. Going to add it to the forum guidelines later.

Alright, I understand. So where should I post videos like the one from Charisma on Command?

Edit: it's all good!

I think the general power dynamics forum would be a good place.

Thanks for changing the title. Alright, I'll post next videos like this there.

I have another request, would it be possible to move these two threads in the "Values" sub-forum please?

https://thepowermoves.com/forum/topic/values-external-vs-internal/
