Those first couple seconds from Impact Theory really hooked me :). I like how Lucio implemented the idea of meeting expectations early on.

Yes!

I thought about you when preparing that intro :), thank you Ali!

Some other headline ideas could've been:

  • 7 Ways Leaders Manipulate People To Boost Their Loyalty: 83 Score
  • 7 Ways Leaders Manipulate People To Win More Followers: 80 Score
  • 7 Ways Leaders Manipulate People To Gain More Power: 80 Score

Boom!

So good I immediately changed the title to your third proposal!

Thank you again Ali!

Edit: on clickbait

Yes you're technically right about the title being rather appropriate.
What I meant was "the video is longer and deeper than just a list of "ways"".
And: the "full package of thumbnail + title" is on the clickbait-y side since "psycho" in the thumbnail can create associations with "psycho(path)" rather than "psycho(logy)" and some people might click expecting a dress down of Jocko Willink.
Also, it's a grey area to have that association when, overall, Jocko is a good guy. So I'm thinking of potentially removing/changing that down the road.

This is the current YouTube channel art:

Curious how come we didn't update the YouTube channel's art along with the website update.

Thank you so much for this, Ali!

It makes a lot of sense.

To better explain why that video exists and was even released:

  • That's meant as a form of "expert endorsement" for power dynamics for PU salespage

So in that sense, the title is more intended for the sales page, than for CTR.

  • I released to keep the channel semi-active

I read that channels without uploads are deprioritized by YB's algorithm, something I believe is very possible (BTW, I have a feel of "throttling" on YB: the early videos, even if bad quality, spread a lot more easily than the far better latter ones. It's possible that later on YB pegged the channel as "low activity" and de-prioritized it).

So from time to time I turn some videos from private to public, without notifying the subscribers, with the main goal of not getting views, but of keeping the channel "enough active" to avoid algorithm punishments, so to speak.

I'm not even sure that approach works to appease the algorithm but, albeit unprofessional, it still makes a lot of sense.
A "maybe it helps" at least gives you a chance to gain -and it's a heck a lot better compared to the alternative of not even having that chance-.

Edit:
typos

Yeah, I guessed it was to be used for the sales page. You already know my opinion. I think the challenge of marketing TPM is about the "why" to study this stuff. I'm convinced that if you do 3-4 videos with authorities explaining the why, it's a great addition.

If you have authorities explaining the "why" and then customers relating their experience, the persuasion is 10x I believe.

Hello Lucio,

Boom! Congrats on your last video “psycho coup”. The editing, text overlay, text, music, intro with the (future new?) logo, topic (current news), length, format (10 points) is on point in my view.

You found a solid format and I would stick with it. I think it’s actually better that we cannot see your face in this format (it works in other ones though). In the sense is that you have a good voice and articulation so it highlights the sound and also gives more mystery (“who’s this guy?”). And people can see how you look like on other videos anyway.

I don’t know if you hired someone or if you improved your editing skills. It does not matter: there’s a level up here.

In my mind it could be good to use a naming scheme for these kinds of videos: “Lessons in power: ….” or “Do like” or “don’t do like” for instance. I would avoid the “How to” as it has been overused in my opinion.

like this channel that I like: “the art of… always being right/attack and defense/etc.” or the “rethorical lessons of… Silvio Berlusconi/etc.”

The thumbnails are on point I think also with the colours you chose. Also writing something different on the thumbnails than the title (“Psycho coup” vs “Wagner’s coup”) is good I think so you can put more information in a small area.

Thank you so much, John!

Absolutely it's a professional editor who did that :).

I'm assessing right now a few different ones giving a video each, so happy to read more feedback, if any, on future videos.

I loved his initial "bombastic approach" with the catchy intro and the the background music.
And I still think he's super talented.

On the con side, I had to send it back the first time for several mistakes, so that's a small strike because ideally you'd want someone who can first totally understand the content, and then match to the images.

The second time there were still some mistakes on the eidts and I had to fix it myself because we were running way too late to publish.

And the audio was lower quality than what I remembered the original one was. Not sure what happened there.

Overall, great editor, very talented, with a big question mark around audio quality, some issues matching content to images, and.. Quite pricey :).

Curious to see the others.

Yeah and to be fair with the contractor it’s the first time that you guys worked together. BUT if it’s expensive then I agree that one can expect higher standards. I agree with the intro: awesome.

Been  releasing several vides on YouTube recently.

This last one is on "Charisma on Command" style, but more with the power dynamics angle:
