Power is rooted in freedom.

Today after some thoughts I finally realized what made me behave more dominantly:

  • It's freedom, the (mental) freedom and inner fire to do and say whatever you want to do without caring about what others think, say or do.

Today I had quite an exchange with a power player from my class, to sum it up we ended up more or less equally, but I would say he won for a bit. Because I initially thought he would overpower me when he started talking to me I got nervous, my heartbeat got faster. However I calmed myself and did relatively good defending, he's higher and probably a bit more muscular than me, so he likes to say: "when we will have a boxing match"(since I was in muay thai for 6 months and he was in boxing a couple days, he quitted because he was a coward although I likes to paint it in a different light), I usually answer with "whenever you want" without taking him seriously. The eye contact is really strong in both parts so the exchanges are really intense.

After the exchange I was shaking, not out of fear, but, out of pressure. However as time passed something started burning..... I wanted to repeat that experience, I wanted to feel that pressure, I wanted to feel.... powerful. Moreover he is quite high status and high power, and the fact that I was able to see all his power moves and do relatively well in a suboptimal mental state against him made it clear for me: I may actually have one of the highest power skills in my whole grade.

In fact after that exchange, a possibly clueless guy, set several negative frames when asking me, and I dealt with them easily.

So both of those experiences showed me: you've already made it, you have the skills, the drive and the mindset, the sky is the limit now, no....,  always has been, and the best part is that.... I can fly way way higher.

He is quite nasty, however that experience made me respect him, I want to have mental and social fights with guys like him, it's not about overpowering it's about the experience, the emotions, the fact that my status is at stake and that people like him could make a powerful "ally"  he probably doesn't share this mindset, since people like him have a fragile ego) that gets it.

I recall this feeling, ... it's  the drive to test other men and fight with them. I'm growing to like it.

Will probably fight him in boxing, it may be quite an experience, let's see if he flakes or if he does actually agree. During my asshole phase a year ago I saw that he was a coward full of ego when I told him that with a muay thai kick I could break his arm, let's see if he has changed and proves to be quite a rival.

How to accept feedback/being corrected while maintaining power.

So long story short, today I saw quite a conv in the gym that made me realize how probably some men that are successful with women are very disagreable even to the point of breaking rapport.

Girl: if you do the cable biceps curl standing a bit more far you can do the exercise better.

Guy: no you don't.

Girl: yes because x

Guy with a lower voice while exercising: no you don't.

While I was going home and  thinking about whether or not they were siblings or a couple (since the girl is quite attractive and a bit younger than me, not less than 16/17 years old of course☠️)

I realized that, there's a way of handling that situation while maintaining rapport, leadership and even advancing the seduction, that is slightly changing the dynamic:

Girl: if you do..... you can do it better

Guy looking at her and thinking: hmm, show it to me (hon/babe/her name).

Girl shows it to you

Guy: of so the posture is like this (you mimic it and try it).

If it works you thank and congratulate her while smiling and possibly babying a bit. Strong eye contact while smiling is the way to go here since the ideal thing would be to display affectionate dominance)

I believe this can be used in other instances when actual good feedback is being given and one wants to retain some power without breaking rapport.

P.S:

I am thinking about whether or not to approach them and possibly find out if they are siblings, if I see her again without him I'll probably chat a bit with her.

Wanted to share quite a funny situation I had today after college. At the bus stop two girls from my class which I already knew where talking in front of me, they hadnt seen me, so me waiting behind them (as we were waiting to enter the bus) and not saying hello would be weird:

PD: good night. (it was 7:00 pm, and the sun hadn't even started setting, this is quite a joke I like to say when saying hello. Good afternoon in the morning, good night in the evening and good afternoon at nigh depend on how humorous I'm feeling at the moment)

They turn around and both stare at me without saying anything, for about 10 seconds......

PD (looking only to one of them): What kind of way to say hello is that?

Girl A: hello

PD: There you go

This girl and I usually banter in college, the frame battles and one ups we both have are fun for sure, she doesn't seem to be attracted to me though, I get the feeling that she only enjoys the attention but that's it. Plus I've seen a couple of things that lead me to believe she's low quality.

Considering my current situation, I may return to therapy to find out more and talk about my attachment style. It could be possible that my anxious tendencies now have been replaced by avoidant ones.

Hey PD,

Just a note here on the risks of "over-diagnosing" and "over-treating".

And the risks of conflicts of interests -many therapists want you in therapy-.

Some tendencies are simply normal.

Being "anxious" about an attachment that is important to us, or that many want -a family member, a friend, a person we look up to, a partner etc. etc.- is totally "normal".

This is not to say "don't go" or "you're good for sure".
But... I wouldn't jump to (negative) conclusions either.
In doubt, rather than "run to find a cure", I may instead "let it run" a bit and see.

Thanks Lucio.

I have a bad habit of taking decisions too fast without waiting to think about them as long as I should.

I'll go that route, let's see how it goes/if I can fix it myself/if it's already mostly fixed.

Cheers.

Cemented status and high power behaviour.

It has passed quite some time since I posted regularly here.  And part of the reason is because I'm doing really good, a thing that happened faster than I initially expected:

  • I can tell in most occasions when I'm behaving low power at the spot as well as know how to behave high power.
  • In most occasions I enjoy interacting with power movers and view it as a game, of course without forgetting the power part and what could happen if I don't check them correctly as well as how they really are.
  • Being shy while talking with good looking girls now sounds funny to me.
  • With close relatives I behave in a more direct and high quality way, although some times I overdo the dominance when checking disrespect.
  • Freedom and emotional independence are two of the main things that define how I interact with people.

Great changes indeed, I've made new discoveries too:

  • Nofap and sleeping well makes being high power and socialisation easier, probably related with testosterone.
  • I'm actually quite extroverted, and probably have  "sensation seeking" personality/traits which would explain the ease with which I get addicted to things as well as my constant need for mental and physical stimulation when I abstain from masturbation or excessive social media usage. That or it's simply normal behaviour that social media has changed in us.
  • The few cold approaches I've made have given me more independence from what others think.

I do enjoy studying PU and would like to keep improving my power skills as well as interacting in the forum, since I rejoined the debate association (full of power movers) that will be a good incentive to keep learning and test my new skills.

Of course, I wouldn't have been able to get to that level that fast without the help of you guys 🙂. Thanks!

Hahaha, thanks. I'll save the name changing for a big accomplishment in the future :).
