TPM articles updates: what's new

PreviousPage 4 of 5Next

Hi Lucio,

I watched the last videos now.

Content is top quality as always, and my feedback only deals with my feeling as to external "appearance" layers.

Here's the points I feel could be improved:

  • jittery, low quality audio, crackling sounds, difficulty to hear you speak, even some echo present;
  • the round portion with you in it, superimposed on the case study: I personally don't like it much, and feel it is confusing. Prior videos where your segments were separated from the case study felt better;
  • background is not optimal. Electric sockets, plaque on wall, portion of door, does not feel right.

Thank you so much, Bel!

Super useful.

BTW, an important note that didn't make it onto the video:

There is a lot of power in the frame that Elon Musk gave the example and the "leeway" for other CEOs to do the smae.

It sub-communicates he's the leader of leaders.

BUT...

It's still not optimal for him specifically because... Well, there's the article to explain that :).

And since I originally landed here to link the new article:

It started from a forum thread here.

Thanks to Bel, Mats, Ali, and Transitioned.

The article wouldn't have been 1/3 as good without all your input.

TPM's first short.

Case study of an overbearing "friend" who:

  • Interrupts
  • Is way too dominant
  • Drops heavily disempowering "jokes" (without any humor)

Khabib handles it well with:

  • Avoid the "too nice trap", which would be to laugh along or pretend all is well
  • Direct request to drop it
  • Body language that frames the attacker as an annoying c*nt
  • Low investment
  • A verbally high-warmth "see you later", but with the re-empowering sub-communication of "f*ck you"

Couple of new articles:

  • How to be an alpha male, from the bigger "alpha male article" which is the longer overview. That one is more zeroed-in on the steps, and adds plenty of wisdom and examples
  • Red flags of bad friends' storytelling: a case study from a previous forum thread. Also, first article using AI for generating pictures, and with a new YB short yet to be published

Also prepared several new reviews, but don't want to over-publish so they'll be in draft mode for some time.

I'm thinking about releasing articles for alumni only at first, but only a thought for now.

Hello Lucio, in the red flag article the video is unavailable

BOOM!

Thank you so much for the note, Jack!

Just checked and unluckily it seems on YouTube that whenever you schedule a video release date, it's automatically turned as "private" (VS "unlisted" which would allow you to embed it):

Thinking now if it's worth it to re-set it as "unlisted" and then reschedule it later on closer to the release date.

In the alpha male article, there is a mistake in the title 4.2.

It says alpha mail instead of alpha male.
